Prediction of Wind Shear Exponent in Complex Terrain

초록

Inthisstudy,wefoundarelationshipbetweenwindshearexponent,α,andafew factorssuchasthewindspeed,V,ruggednessindex(RIX),andtheWeibullshapeparameter,kofsitesincomplexterraininKorea.Windshear exponentsinmainwinddirectionswerecalculatedusingwindspeeddatameasuredforoneyearfrom various heightsofelevenmeteorologicalmastsinGangwonprovince.Itwasfoundfrom theanalysisthatthereciprocal ofthewindshearexponentcanbeexpressedbyanexponentiallydecayingfunctionwithrespecttoamultipleof V,RIX andk.Thisresultisconsideredusefultobeusedtocharacterizewindcharacteristicsofspecificsitesin complexterraininKoreawithlimitedinformation.
