초록

A survey was conducted on the occurrence of Pasteuria spp. associated with plant-parasitic nematodes in greenhouse and open field soils in Korea from 1996 to 2000. Among the 372 soil samples assayed, 20 samples had plant-parasitic nematodes attached with Pasteuria spp. endospores. The nematodes found with Pasteuria endospores and their collection sites were Meloidogyne spp. in Sungju, Cheju, and Yeoju and Helicotylenchus sp., Pratylenchus sp., Heterodera sp., and Aphelenchus sp. in Cheju. Morphological characteristics of the endospores on Meloidogyne incognita juveniles observed under light, scanning and transmission electron microscopes were same as the previous description of Pasteuria penetrans Sayre & Starr 1988. © 1998 Korean Society of Applied Entomology, Taiwan Entomological Society and Malaysian Plant Protection Society.
