傳統民家의 채 構成과 園林의 保存에 관한 연구- 지정 문화재를 중심으로 -

초록

This study attempted to identify the spatial structure of Chaes and outdoor yard of Korean traditional private houses, and explore the garden characteristics of their own outdoor space. Then, it also analyzed the preservable factors of this outdoor space and the current condition of their preservation and main-tenance.It is presumed that our traditional private houses had maintained ancestral residential quarters under the influence of kindred protectionism and had been preserved by inheritance from generation to generation till they were ruled by modern legal regulations. In terms of location, some of them existed as the type of Byeolseo(a traditional cottage around farmland or field) within beautiful nature far from residential quarters, so that they could get out of the influence of modern or post-modern development.This study could show that the exterior space around traditional private houses has been still pre-served to some extent and the root of basic traditional landscape elements has been kept as it was. Never-theless, the outdoor structure and components became sometimes extinct or changed and even newly gene-rated under the influence of physical-environmental conditions and socio-human environment. Espe-cially, those cultural assets may be continuously damaged and vanish, mainly because the value and importance of neighboring environment and outdoor space have been not fully concerned in the desig-nation and management of cultural assets focused on architectural buildings.
