초록

Requirements for building have been increased not only structural aspects but fire resistance. Therefore, a structural steel having higher strength has been developed and applied into building industry. Especially, a SM 520 and a SM 570 have good construction efficiencies in fabrication site and construction site, for these have a better welding performance and a higher strength than other structural steels. However, their fire resistance performance of them doesn't clear until now. In this study, to compare the fire resistance of long span beam built with SM 520 and SM 570, a fire engineering technique was used using mechanical properties at high temperatures and analytical methods. As the structural grades are going up, the performance of fire resistance is shown to be decreased. © 2017 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
