초록

The single aliquot regenerative-dose (SAR) protocol is now widely used as a means of measuring the equivalent dose, and hence of dating, as applied to the optical stimulation of luminescence from quartz. For equivalent dose determination of heated quartz, a similar protocol but using thermolummescence is presented and the results by this protocol were compared with the values determined by optically stimulated luminescence. Excellent agreement is found between them. We suggest that the SAR protocol using thermoluminescence can contribute to the dating of heated quartz with low luminosity on optical stimulation and of red emission quartz that has a difficulty to measure the optically stimulated luminescence.
