관광산업에 대한 기후의 경제적 효과 - 스키장을 사례로 -

초록

The purpose of this study is to measure the economic effects of climate on the tourismindustry. For the empirical analysis, the study measured and analyzed the daily data ofclimate and the demand for one of the representative ski resorts in Gangwon province, Koreafor the recent four years covering(2010~2013). The regression and correlation analysis werefirst used to investigate the relationship between climate and the tourism demand after whichthe paper estimated the economic effects of climate on the ski resort using sensitivity andinput-output analyses. The result showed that the highest temperature and the average windvelocity have a decisive effect on the demand for ski resorts. This study would help towardspublic understanding and awareness about the importance of the relationship between climatechange(variability) and tourism demand.
