초록
In this study, the physical properties of MMA-modified polymer mortar produced by mixing a reactive additive (RA) with multifunctional agent of PMMA were experimentally surveyed. The results of the experiments showed that increasing PMMA content reduced the flow, but the maximum flow was observed with the filler to binder ratio of 1.5. Additionally, the increase of initiator and promoter content shortened the working life of PMMA mortar. RA content did not exert a noticeable influence on setting shrinkage, while the appropriate PMMA content lessened the setting shrinkage. The compressive and flexural strength showed the maximum values when the filler to binder ratio was 1.5:1. Moreover, the compressive and flexural strength increased with increasing RA content. Adding RA expedited the hardening of the mortar to result in the manifestation of its strength 60% and 90% at two and six hour curing, respectively. The strength was hardly affected by the curing temperature as long as it was 0 degrees C or above. Even when the curing temperature was -10 degrees C, the strength of the mortar was about 70% of the strength of the mortar cured at normal temperature.
