초록

In Korea, tourism policy has focused the inland development at the level of local government for decades. As the result, marine tourism had been long considered to be slack in spite of the country's abundant marine resources potentials. In the recent year, however, many evidences have suggested that marine tourism has rapidly increased owing to increase of leisure time and disposable incomes.This study attempts to provide policy options on the basis of analysis both the point at issues and the present condition in marine tourism. The results of this research are as follows: First, government has to set up the foundation for the development of marine tourism as inspiration of civil consciousness, construction of infrastructure, setup of legal system for marine tourism. Second, government has to assist the promotion of business for marine tourism as development of diversity of marine tourism products and facility, marine tourism information system, expert training, safety supervision system, incentive offers for induction of domestic or foreign capitals and international cooperation. Third, government has to the administrative reform as clarification of structure function, decision of the priority of order and environmental conservation, improvement of central government function for marine tourism.
