비제도권 관광자의 특성: 근거이론을 통한 한국인의 관광경험

초록

With the criticism about the negative impact of mass tourism, and a new paradigm of tourism has been introduced. Aim of this paper is to derive implications on negative behaviour of noninstitutional tourists that have drawn attention these days. A grounded theory has been used throughout this paper to explain the behaviour of noninstitutional tourists based on their experiencing structure. In-depth interviews were carried out using snowball sampling method, As a result, noninstitutional tourists happen to understand the local socio-culture through self-directed plans and seek for novelty. In addition, by collecting information through a tour, socio-culture exchange can be achieved, and this experience can be a driving force for the future tourism. Key categories for noninstitutional tourists were found be novelty, through selective coding, and the story line of "Self directed planning-understanding of local culture-recognition of variety of cultures - learning through a tour - motivation for re-visiting" has been formed. This paper is different from other research in the sense that focused on the framework in grounded theory with other research targets and objectives in existing research. In future research, Derived from this study of the non-institutional tourist experience structure will need to be modified through repetitive experiments and comparison of the model.
