초록

Municipal Solid Waste Incinerator (MSWI) bottom ash was used to develop inorganic binder for preparing geopolymer concrete in this study. Toxic substituents, such as heavy metals are de-toxificated by geopolymer technique. Slag and coal fly ash are used as active filler to enhance compressive strength. MSWI bottom ash was mixed with slag to make geopolymer concrete. They were solidified under alkali condition and cured at 50oC after that. Compressive strength was measured to evaluate the characteristics of specimens for the period of 1, 3 and 7 days. A maximum strength of the specimen was reached as to almost 62.2 MPa after 7 days (10 wt%). And the morphology were analyzed by SEM-EDS and XRD. The microstructure of inorganic binder prepared was analyzed by FTIR. Korea Standard leaching Test (KSLT) and Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) method are used to and examine leaching potential of inorganic binder. Leaching amounts of heavy metal were noticeably reduced after the solidification of MSWI bottom ash as with active filler. It is possible to de-toxificate MSWI bottom ash by new solidification techniques. It may be used as alternative concrete.
