A Study on the Change of Plan Following Balcony Extension in Apartments

The government permitted to do balcony extension work legalizing modification of balcony structure on December 2005. It is the aim of this research to compare and to analyze what are different features of apartments compared with previous plans of apartments and what are the problems though Pangyo's medium and large size apartment. The expanded balcony was used to four use as follows. The first use is inner space expansion of near room, and next is warehouse, special space. The balcony extension influences forms of unit habitation and spatial configulations of interior space. Though the expanding the balcony provides the residents with the benefit of upgrading the living standard, it also has brought about some problems.
