학생들이 물리를 재미없고 어렵다고 생각하는 이유에 대한 분석

Why secondary students perceive that physics is uninteresting and difficult?

초록

The purpose of this study was to explore secondary students'perception about science, especially physics. Students' ideas weregathered using a questionnaire that contained four parallelsections, each of which had two items. The first item asked studentsto select the most interesting/uninteresting/easy/difficult subjectin science. This was followed by an open-form item in which studentswere asked to give the reason they felt that way. The questionnairewas completed by 532 students (aged 15-18). The responses to thequestionnaire showed that physics was perceived as most'uninteresting' and `difficult' subject. The major reason forthinking of physics as `uninteresting' was their perception of it asdifficult. In addition, the major reason for perceiving physics as`difficult' was the mathematical aspect of physics. On the otherhand, some students found physics to be easy because of themathematical aspect. `Electromagnetism' was reported as the most`difficult' topic by most students. Based on the results, we discussimplications, such as the mathematical aspect of physics.
