디지털매체를 활용한 e-러닝 무용 수업 운영사례

초록

Since 1994, the proliferation of the personal computer with the Internet has precipitated far-reaching changes in society. Electronic communications and digital works are transforming the way of our lives. This transformation has had a tremendous effect on education, too. Thanks for the technological delivery strategies, new era of distance education and e-learning has been opened. E-learning strategies transform teaching and learning from traditional face-to-face teacher-centered approaches into learner-centered approaches. Since mid 1990, developed countries like the United states of America has started to deliver knowledge through e-learning to facilitate learning. This trend has affected dance education. In addition to the previous dance courses, there have emerged various new dance courses which apply the new technology to dance performance, direction, or choreography. How to apply e-learning to dance education has been studied from 2000 in Korea but it is still in its early stage and there are much to be learned of its inherent capabilities. Dance curriculum using multimedia technologies needs to be developed and improved. Since 2002, a new course, [Introductory Dance through e-learning] has been opened in Kangwon University. Also as an e-learning course, [Understanding dancing] has been opened up until now to get the most effective way of teaching dance in a formal context using a range of multimedia technologies. This paper examines the usefulness of adopting e-learning strategies and technologies for dance education and suggests what needs to be done to improve the way to deliver knowledge, to communicate and the methods of teaching for quality dance education and training to learners in Digital Age.
