This study experimentally verified our previously proposed theory that describes the zeroth-order resonance phenomenon in a resonator made of acoustic composite right/left-handed (CRLH) metamaterials [J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 142, 2298 ( 2017)]. It was experimentally demonstrated that the zeroth-order resonance mode with a flat shape exists in the acoustic CRLH metamaterial resonator. It was also verified that the resonance frequency of zeroth-order resonance changes depending on the boundary condition at both ends of the resonator and essentially does not depend on the number of resonator units, consistent with the theory.
