The Effects of Exercise Training Type on Changes of Insulin Resistance Serum C-reactive Protein and Lipid Profiles

초록

The purpose of present study was to examine the effects of aerobic exercise and weight training on changes of insulin resistance, C-reactive protein(CRP), and blood lipid profile in obese middle school students. Twenty subjects participated in the present study ; aerobic exercise training(n=10), or aerobic exercise training with weight training for 12 weeks(n=10). All subjects were measured 1 RM, body composition and blood samples were drawn from antecubital vein before taking part in the two different kinds of exercise training programs and at 4, 8, 12 weeks post. There was significant different in the blood TC concentration at 4 week and 8 weeks after exercise training between exercise training programs(p<.05). However, there was no significant different in the blood TG concentration at 12 weeks after exercise training between exercise training programs(p>.05). Blood CRP concentration tended to decreased following the exercise, but there was no significant different(p>.05). There was significant different in the blood insulin concentration (p>.05). These results showed that participation in moderate exercise was not associated with improved measure of chronic inflammation, as measured CRP. Improvement in insulin resistance and blood lipid profiles resulting from moderate exercise did not appear to be related to changes in CRP.
