초록

The results of this study were produced after taking measurements of the contents of BMD(Bone Mineral Density) and BMC(Bone Mineral Content) in the right forearm, left forearm and femur of a total of 18 persons, including 6 Tennis players, 6 gymnasts, and 6 non-athletes from a girls' high school by using DEXA(Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry). The results are as follows; 1) There are no distinct differences in the parts of 1/3, middle, ultradistal and the whole body between gymnasts and non-athletes, while for Tennis players it is distinctly high. 2) There are no distinct differences in the parts of 1/3, middle, ultradistal and the whole body between gymnasts and non-athletes, while for Tennis players it is distinctly high. 3) The BMC of the femur for Tennis players is high compared with gymnasts and non-athletes while there is no difference between gymnasts and non-athletes. 4) There is no difference between the BMD and BMC of the right forearm and left forearm in the whole body for non-athletes. In summing up, the BMD and BMC of juvenile sports groups are higher than those of on-sports groups. The distinctly high level of the BMD and BMC of the right forearm for Tennis players who are hitting balls indicates that muscle contractibility and heavily exercised parts will help the formation of BMD and BMC.
