Effect of asymmetry on the loss of chaos synchronization

A study was carried out to determine how the asymmetry of coupling affects the bifurcation mechanism for the loss of synchronous chaos with varying the asymmetry parameter in two coupled 1D maps. It was found that the asymmetry leads to the change in the bifurcation scenarios of the synchronization loss only for the case of symmetry-breaking pitchfork bifurcations.
