시멘트 모르타르용 모래대체재로서 광미의 재활용 가능성 평가

This study was performed to evaluate recycling possibility of mine tailing as sand replacement materials for cement mortar. Mine tailing was obtained from the region near Yeonhwa mine. The mine tailing was mainly composed of Fe2O3 (30.3wt%), SiO2 (25.0wt%), CaO (16.8wt%), SO3 (16.5wt%), and Al2O3 (4.6wt%). In the analysis of Korean Standard Leaching Test, As, Pb, and Cr6+ was shown in 189.8 mg/L, 427.8 mg/L, and 27.0 mg/L, respectively. When lignin-only was mixed in cement mortar, the compressive strength was increased up to about 70 kgf/㎠. However, approximate 40 kgf/㎠ was decreased in the cement mortar mixed with both of lignin and mine tailing. The mortar with mine tailing-only showed similar compressive strength with the control cement mortar. The mortars mixed with lignin-only, mine tailing-only or both of them permitted regulatory Korean heavy metal leaching standard for specified solid waste. There was no significant difference in heavy metal leaching concentrations of the mortars. From the both results of compressive strength and heavy metal leaching test, adding only lignin to the mortar showed the best quality. Because adding mine tailing to the mortar did not significantly reduce the compressive strength, it was evaluated that mine tailing has enough recycling possibility as sand replacement materials for cement mortar.
