초록
This study is an autobiographical qualitative case analysis exploring the processes of emotional expression, ego integration, and existential recovery through the researcher’s own experience of poetry writing. Poetry served as a symbolic medium for revealing repressed emotions and memories, enabling the researcher to confront, reconstruct, and heal psychological wounds. Based on Jung’s analytical psychology—particularly the concept of individuation—along with theories of poetry therapy and humanities therapy, this study analyzes how the process of emotional symbolization contributed to self-awareness and inner integration. Poetry writing facilitated emotional regulation and helped restore interpersonal relationships, demonstrating its function as a form of artistic healing that fosters emotional recovery and self-understanding. Although the study is grounded in an autobiographical narrative and has limitations in generalizability, it offers a concrete example of the therapeutic potential of poetry writing.
