Power and Space of Liu Zhen Yun’s New Realism Novel - Focused on Headman(頭人)

Liu Zhen Yun(劉震雲) provided power or history as external factors whichdetermine and specify thought and action of human beings and searched forhuman nature in response to those factors. Lots of authors and their worksclaimed that he revealed not only pre-modern sense of power but weak naturesof human beings who tried to realize their desire by the acquisition of power aswell, and showed the possibility of renovation of nationality. But actually spacewhich was assigned politically led to and maintained pre-modernity. The villageand its headman characteristically unchanged through modern andcontemporary age make us find these facts. Ultimately, we have to reestablishrelation between space and individual in order to solve the above-mentionedproblem.
