초록
Cell membrane nanotechnology has emerged as a prominent strategy for enhancing the precision targeting capabilities and biocompatibility of drug delivery systems by integrating biomimetic cell membranes onto the surface of nanoparticles. Conventional systems, such as liposomes, polymer nanoparticles, and inorganic nanoparticles, have faced limitations due to their low biocompatibility and potential to trigger immune responses. Cell membrane nanotechnology addresses these challenges by offering highly efficient targeted delivery to specific tissues and cells, coupled with superior biocompatibility. This paper elaborates on the characteristics of cell membrane nanotechnology and explores various types of cell membranes utilized. Furthermore, it discusses diverse application examples, including targeted drug delivery, cancer therapy (anti-cancer), anti-inflammatory treatments, and central nervous system (CNS) drug delivery. The review also examines current research trends and the challenges for future commercialization, ultimately projecting this technology to play a crucial role in the future of drug delivery systems.
