초록

This study investigates the flow-induced vibration (FIV) characteristics and underlying mechanisms of an elastically mounted cylinder when a control cylinder, with a diameter ratio of d/D = 0.5, is placed side-by-side with the main cylinder. The transverse spacing (T/D) of the control cylinder was systematically varied at intervals of 0.1, and the FIV response of the main cylinder was examined for flow velocities ranging from 0 to 13 m/s. To clarify the vibration mechanism, the wake-flow velocity fluctuation behind the main cylinder was measured. The results show that the FIV response can be classified into four distinct patterns depending on the control cylinder's position. The vibration mechanisms corresponding to each pattern were clarified through FFT analysis of the wake velocity fluctuations.
