초록

This study develops and validates a scenario-based assessment for global citizenship within mathematics contexts. It addresses the need for students to engage thoughtfully with global challenges by linking civic education and mathematics. The assessment tool captures competencies essential for global citizenship, including presenting opinions based on evidence, respecting diverse perspectives, and making rational decisions. A Delphi survey with mathematics educational experts identified four key dimensions of global citizenship in mathematics education. A pilot study with 500 high school students tested the assessment's validity using Rasch modeling, highlighting its potential as an effective tool for evaluating and enhancing global citizenship competencies in mathematics education. The findings emphasize the instrument's effectiveness and advocate for further research in diverse educational settings to enrich our understanding of global citizenship education's integration and assessment within educational systems.
